Diagnosis, tires, maintenance and the big jobs — in the same building
Half the reason a repair drags on is a shop that can only do part of it and sends you down the street for the rest. We run the diagnostics, the alignment rack and the engine work here.
Find it
Computer diagnostics, with the repair procedure looked up against current manufacturer service data rather than guessed at. Check-engine lights, electrical faults, noises you can hear but can't place.
Tires & alignment
Mounting, balancing, rotation, puncture repair and tire-pressure sensor work — plus four-wheel alignment on a Hunter rack right here in the shop. No second trip somewhere else after.
Keep it going
Oil and filter, brakes, batteries, coolant and brake-fluid flushes, air and cabin filters, wiper blades, belts, headlight bulbs and restoration. The ordinary work, done properly and on time.
The big ones
Engine repair and rebuilding, transmission service, timing belts, water pumps, radiators, fuel pumps, CV axles, starters, steering and suspension. The jobs most shops send to the dealer.

Do I need an appointment?
Call (224) 432-5450 and we'll tell you when to bring it in. If you'd rather just come by, we're at 835 Milwaukee Avenue Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and Saturday 9:00 AM to noon.
Will you tell me if I don't need the work?
Yes. If it doesn't need to be done, we'll say so. Bring in the estimate another shop wrote you — or call (224) 432-5450 with the year, make and model and we'll go through it with you.
Can you give me a price over the phone?
For some of it, yes. Oil, brakes, tires, belts and batteries we can usually quote once we know the year, make and model. A noise, a warning light or a leak has to go on a lift first — we'll tell you which one yours is when you call.
Can you do a wheel alignment?
Yes. We have a Hunter alignment rack in the shop and do four-wheel alignment here, along with tire mounting, balancing, rotation, puncture repair and tire-pressure sensor work. You don't have to go anywhere else after.
Do you work on my car?
Call with the year, make and model. We do engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, air conditioning, electrical and tires, and we've been doing it on this street since 1980.
Is there somewhere to wait while you work?
Yes — there's a waiting area at the front of the building with seating, magazines and free Wi-Fi, and a parking lot right outside. We take credit cards.
